In my opinion, Bridget is a true educator. To me, that doesn’t just mean someone who provides the information students need to learn and assigns work calculated to reinforce that knowledge. It also means someone who hand-crafts an environment where students want to learn, an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions to enhance their education, an environment where students feel empowered as leaders in their educational experience and consequently in other areas of their life.
Dr. Reigstad is an incredible instructor! She is compassionate towards her students and has a distinct and diligent motivation to teach her students what she knows about psychology.
She cheerleads and supports her students with genuine compassion. I felt safe coming to her with my concerns and eager to come to her with my successes. Without her in my corner I know earning my degree would have been much more difficult.
When a student first meets Bridget as one’s new professor he or she is quite quickly made comfortable in the classroom. Bridget brings a sense of warmth with her wherever she goes that is contagious. Her constant smile is infectious and her sense of humor is almost universally recognized. Not a day went by when I was not excited to go to [class] purely on the fact that Bridget made the class enjoyable with her personality alone.
